Apply for a Grant of up to $500
by filling out our online form.

Await your Grant’s approval.

Applicants will be notified of Opportunity GrantED’s funding decision within two weeks after the application deadline.

Upon approval, we will purchase the items
you have requested and have them delivered to you at your school within 30 days of our funding decision.

As teachers, you are working every day to create an environment that is inspiring, creative, structured, prepared and safe for your students. We know there are many expenses, such as a set of themed books for your classroom, a variety of art supplies, and materials like protractors or rulers for every student, that school districts are unable to cover, leaving you to pay for items yourselves, or go without. Opportunity GrantED hopes to alleviate this financial strain, allowing you to create the learning environment your students deserve, empowering them to reach their highest potentials.

Our goal is to make the process quick and easy to get you the materials you need for your students.

Criteria and Factors for Awarding Grants

Criteria 1

A school must have at least 60% of the student body qualify for the Illinois State Board of Education Community Eligbility Provision (CEP).

Criteria 2

The level of impact the requested item will have on the day-to-day student experience.

Criteria 3

Clear and adequate information provided in the grant application detailing what the items requested are and how they will enrich the classroom environment. Each item requested must include a link to the specific item.
